Meet Your Teachers

As teachers, we are passionate about music and the development of children.

We create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

I was born into a musical family. My earliest memories of music are singing with my mom and learning songs at church. I began taking piano lessons in kindergarten and continued through high school. I have been involved in concert band, ensemble, and jazz groups. I have sung in chorus and participated in theater through college. I love to sing, dance, and play the piano. Although music wasn't my formal education, I couldn't imagine a day without it!

I come from a long line of teachers that not only value education but believe ALL children can learn. I have a B.S. in elementary education and a M.Ed. in Reading education. I hold special certifications in reading and working with dyslexic students. I have worked with students from preschool through the university setting. I enjoy combining my love of music with my passion for education to create an inviting musical learning environment for your family!

As a stay at home mama I have experienced the joy and delight that Music Together® offers by taking my own children. After my first free demo in a baby store I quickly obtained my Music Together training, became a registered teacher and had my family participating in class. I found it such a support for me when I decided to stay home with my first child. Quitting a full time job to stay home can be an isolating decision. I needed connection. As I went to class every week I knew I was providing my child with a quality class and I would get to connect with other parents. Sometimes just having a conversation with another adult was so encouraging.

I have enjoyed teaching at several centers in Raleigh, NC and in Columbus, OH. When my family moved to Westerville my sister and I started Wholey Sisters Music Together, LLC. It has been such a wonderful experience working with my sister as co-directors and teaching families. Classes are such an inspiring place for families to interact. I count it a blessing every semester that I teach that families allow me to be a part of the memories they make with each other. Contact Nicole

My sister and I used to harmonize when I was little, and I have loved music ever since. I was a
member of various choruses throughout my life. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. I also
have an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, and for most of life, I worked in law offices, but
my passion was and is music. Beginning in high school, a chorus of some kind has called to me:
High school chorus, concert choir, various community choruses and chorales, and especially
barbershop women’s choruses. I am a proud member of Sweet Adelines International, an
organization made up of women’s 4-part a cappella barbershop choruses around the world. I
was in several quartets over the years. Previously I taught Music Together classes and I’m
looking forward to teaching them again. When I am not singing, you will find me traveling, bike
riding, reading, or attempting to garden. I am married to the love of my life, and we have two
children and two grandchildren.
